Taylor Williams is the creative director of Guts & Glory GNV. She is a live show producer, creative consultant, personal coach, speaker, performer and writer. She has been studying and performing improv comedy and storytelling for over 10 years. She got her start in New York City where she trained with Upright Citizens Brigade and worked as a commercial actress. In Washington, DC, she was the co-host of a live late night talk show, a part of several improv troupes, including iMusical, a fully-improvised musical production, and continues to be a regular performer with StoryDistrict. She is the creator and host of “Unvarnished,” a live storytelling podcast in collaboration with WUFT News, an NPR affiliate. Taylor facilitates workshops using the takeaways from improv, storytelling, and mindfulness to help organizations listen more deeply, connect with authenticity, and have more FUN. She has worked with companies such as Capital One, Exactech, McKinsey & Company, and NCAA athletic teams. She holds a certificate in Design Thinking from IDEO U, allowing her to use human-centered design in the consulting work she does.

 

She regularly hosts TEDxUF and Sofar Sounds Gainesville shows. Taylor offers trainings and keynotes around communication, storytelling, public speaking, and company culture.

 

Taylor is an adjunct lecturer at the University of Florida and a frequent contractor for programs such as the Warrington College of Business and UF athletic teams. She teaches a class centered around live personal storytelling for undergraduate journalism students, and another for Pro Masters students around the art of podcasting. She has developed and taught undergraduate and graduate level courses on women’s issues, career development, and optimal performance at the UF, George Washington University, and George Mason University. She has been a personal coach for over 9 years, and focuses on empowerment, resilience, and self-awareness through her private practice. 

 

Taylor grew up in Gainesville and played volleyball at the University of Florida. She has 2 little kids who are her best buddies. She loves being back in her beloved hometown.
